Orff-Schulwerk style alto metallophone. The resonator box is made entirely of wood to ensure true resonance and clarity of sound. Studio 49 metallophones are characterized by a very well-balanced, soft sound. With bars on, the widest point is 12.25" (the length of the low C bar).
