Product Description
Handcrafted Drums by Ray Gallegos and the Cochiti Pueblo Mission. The materials used are wood derived from non-living trees, and rawhide. This particular drum is made from a cottonwood tree trunk that is hollowed with rawhide strips laced together around the cylinder tying the rawhide coverings together. The handle of the drum is also made of rawhide. A handmade beater is included with the purchase of this drum. The sounds of the drum varies on the size of the trunk and the amount of pressure applied to the drum. Each drum is unique in its size, shape, and color. This drum measures approximately 9 1/2 inches in diameter and 10 1/2 inches in height. Please allow 3-5 days for orders to be received and processed before shipment.
