A pre-selected assortment of instruments provides a range of rhythm, timbre, pitch, and purpose. Contains: a 29-page instructor's book; one 6.5" long tambourine jingle stick; one 4" triangle; one pair claves (9" long x 1" diameter); one crow sounder with ridges for alternate use as a guiro (7.88" long x 1.75" diameter); two pairs sand blocks (5.13" long x 2" wide x 0.75" thick); two ankle bells, each with 4 jingle bells on a leather strap with leather ties (total length 18.75"); two wrist bells, each with 4 jingle bells on a fabric band (not adjustable); three pairs of combination rhythm sticks (10" smooth stick and 12" ridged stick for each pair); two soprano sounders (4.75" long x 1.5" diameter); and three 6.25" long wood mallets. A nice feature of the triangle is the cord that serves as a triangle holder and also is tied to the triangle striker (no more lost strikers!). Instructor's guide contains descriptions of each instrument as well as songs, chants, and activities divided into sections by age group (infants to age 3; ages 3 to 6; and ages 6 and above). Each activity tells the tune to use, suitable instruments to use, words and the actions that coordinate, variations, and "A-B-C-Learn" listings of the developmental and social skills children can gain by completing the activity.
