Product Description
Played in times of happiness and cheer the djembe drum is an essential guest in ceremonies and festivals. Nana Adu Amankwapam I carves this handsome djembe to celebrate the loving bond that exists in an abusua (the Akan term for family). Carved of quality tweneboa wood the drumhead is crafted of goatskin and held in place with iron rings. Black cotton ropes add visual interest and also serve to tighten the drumhead. A practical macrame cord allows the djembe to be slung over the shoulder.
